I recently spent a few hours with 3.5 month old baby Connor and his wonderful parents, Alanna and Pat.   When I photograph babies and children, I aim to tell a story of what I see in the time I spend with a family.  No props, baskets, hats, etc. Perhaps one day I will get into that, but for now I like to photograph only what is happening around me.  I totally appreciate stylized and polished portraits, but I think for me, if I had children I would want to remember in photos what life looked like on a normal day.  Pouty faces and all!! For that is the good stuff.
