Power Plant Productions Wedding: Lindsay & Mike

Lindsay and Mike finally got married!! They literally booked me years and years ago, and that damn pandemic postponed their wedding multiple times. But their day finally came and they had their wedding at the awesome venue, Power Plant Productions in the Old City neighborhood of Philly. Here are some thoughts by our lucky couple:

  • When planning your wedding, what were you most looking forward to? Lindsay: Since we had to postpone twice (and ended up eloping in January), I was really looking forward to finally celebrating with all of our friends and family. So I was definitely looking forward to the reception! Mike: Being done planning! Planning for a wedding is hard enough. Try doing it for three years!
  • What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? Lindsay: Can I say that the entire day was my favorite? Mike: When Lindsay first turned the corner with her dad walking her up the aisle. That feeling was just as strong as our elopement. If not, more.
  • If you could do it all again, would you change anything? Lindsay: I’d tell the seamstress that worked on my dress to change my bustle, which would have saved us about an hour and a hundred safety pins, but other than that I think it all happened as it was supposed to. I think having a wedding during a pandemic forces you to decide what’s most important to you, and that helped us to really just enjoy the day. Mike: Nothing. Wouldn’t change anything at all. There were some quirks and things that didn’t quite go to plan. But what stories can you tell when everything goes off without a hitch?
  • Any advice for future couples planning their weddings? Lindsay: Surround yourself with good people and don’t stress over the little details! Mike: Remember to eat. And drink. And eat and drink some more. The hustle and bustle of the day, the nerves, the anxiety and time crunches will fight this. But don’t be the only ones not enjoying your spread! Also, make sure you really like (love) your vendors and coordinators like we did as this will make your day that much easier and problem free.

Some of Lindsay & Mike’s other fabulous vendors include:

  • Wedding Coordinator: Merida Alexander
  • Wedding Dress: BHLDN
  • Bridesmaids Dresses: Azazie
  • Tuxedos: Men’s Warehouse
  • DJ: No Macarena, kim@nomacarena.com, nomacarena.com
  • Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist: True Beauty Marks, gina@truebeautymarks.com, truebeautymarks.com
  • Venue: Power Plant Productions
