I’d like to interrupt all the blog posts on weddings to formally announce the addition of a kitten to my fur family!! Yes, it’s true! Anyone who knows me know that I used to “not like cats” probably because I was pretty allergic to them and couldn’t get very close to any. But fast forward a decade or two and here I am. Allergies have been outgrown (I guess?) and I’m smitten with my kitten.
We got her in late autumn and adopted her from a nearby farm where a mama cat likes to have her babies. I’m also pleased to say that our next door neighbors adopted her brother from the same litter. So how awesome is that these two have each other in their lives? And yep, they play with each other just about every day.
Having a new baby animal has been such a fun experience, and boy has it been a ray of light to have this nugget of happiness during the coronavirus pandemic. Photographing her has been so much fun and rewarding, and now I’m even more convinced that photographing pets is my happy place.
So let me introduce to you, my little Daisy. She also goes by “Cakes”, because she’s my little cupcake.
