When Natasha and Jesse first contacted me, they described their wedding as intimate and set at home in her parents’ house in Annandale, NJ. Who would have thought they were going to be trendsetters with this type of wedding!? Their wedding was held just weeks before the pandemic exploded in the US, and it was one of the last weddings I photographed before the quarantine. Their wedding was lovely and gave everyone the warm and cozies and it was once again an honor to document a wedding story.
Intimate weddings in homes will be happening a lot in the next year, so any couples out there who are hesitant, take note: if your big bash wedding was moved to next year, you can still get married this year on your original date! Do it at home with just your closest family and friends. It will be worth it. And next year we can all get sweaty on the dance floor together and party our asses off. We will all need it and deserve it.
Here are a few words from our lovely couple:
- When planning your wedding, what were you most looking forward to? We were most looking forward to spending time with our family and close friends, and getting married!
- What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? We especially enjoyed the dinner, eating good food and spending time with family and friends in an enjoyable setting. Natasha also enjoyed getting ready with girlfriends and family.
- If you could do it all again, would you change anything? We wouldn’t change anything major, but we would have liked to allot more time for everything!
- Any advice for future couples planning their weddings? Make sure you schedule extra time during the day to allow for anything that might come up. Also, take mental pictures because it all goes by so fast! Although, Danette is very good at catching the moments in case you forget your mental pictures!
