When you think about childhood, it’s easy to believe the moments will keep coming. There will always be another summer, another lazy afternoon, another backyard adventure. But here’s the truth that catches so many of us off guard:
You only get 18 summers with your kids.
And we’re already halfway through this one.
I recently photographed the Passerini family in their backyard. Nothing too fancy—just real moments of their everyday life. The kids ran barefoot in the grass, swung high on the swing set, and giggled with their doggies and their chickens (yes, chickens!). We also created beautiful, natural family portraits outdoors. A little bit of everything captured in just a couple of hours.
It was relaxed. Real. Full of funzies!
