This year is the year of rescheduled weddings due to the global pandemic (what else?!), and our brides Courtney and Angie had to wait an entire year to get married so they can celebrate with their friends and families. They had a Holly Hedge Estate wedding, located in New Hope, PA (one of my all time favorite venues). It was hot and steamy that day, we were all a sweaty mess, but so what! They finally made it official! Here are some words by Courtney, who’s prep I covered. No offense to Angie’s prep photos not being featured here! My second photographer covered that and I only show my photos on my blog. (My blog, my rules!)
- When planning your wedding, what were you most looking forward to? I really don’t even remember what we were initially looking forward to the most, it seems like so long ago! Our wedding like many other couples was postponed due to the pandemic. We very rarely saw immediate family and saw extended family and friends even less frequently, if at all. With the second go round of planning we were really just looking forward to finally sharing our big day with our loved ones.
- What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? Thats tough, the whole day just felt special.
- If you could do it all again, would you change anything? Not necessarily change but I would have extended cocktail hour(if even an option). Between getting bustled and freshened up we missed about 20-30 minutes so it really flew by. Another 30 minutes would have been great.
- Any advice for future couples planning their weddings? Enjoy the whole process! Seek advice but don’t make any decisions based on anyone else’s priorities other than you and your partners. Do your research with venues and vendors. We were extremely happy with ours, they made the day so seamless and stress free which of course includes Danette so . . .hire Danette. Duh. (aw, thanks Court! -dp)
