Hotel Eventi Wedding: Jeanette & Mitchell

Ah, Jeanette and Mitchell!! Two of my favorite clients that I have ever had the privilege of working with. It was great getting to know them last year!  (You may remember them from their engagement session last June.) Well, last summer they finally made it official and married…only after 18 years together! They held their wedding at the Hotel Eventi in New York City, witnessed by their closest family and friends.  Yeah it was hot and humid that day, the power went out in Manhattan for awhile, but all was well and their wedding was perfect.

Here are a few words from our lovely bride, Jeanette:

When planning your wedding, what were you most looking forward to?  Celebrating our long-standing love with friends and family in our beautiful home city!  Marrying the person of our dreams.  Also getting together people from both sides of our families who had never had the chance to meet, and getting family members together who haven’t seen each other in a long while.

What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day?  The moments immediately following the ceremony when we were able to take a pause, sign our license with just a few people around, and have some time with just the two of us for a few minutes.  Some of our other favorite moments include seeing everyone on the terrace for the first time, being able to dance with my baby brother since I could not have a father/daughter dance, seeing Mitch dance with his daughter and niece.  Also we purposely kept our wedding party immediate family which made it very intimate for us from being able to spend time during rehearsal dinner and leading into the wedding, as well as the morning after.  The relief of nerves evaporating after the first look.  Mitch’s sister’s face when we walked out onto the terrace.  Hugging my best friends as soon as I saw them.  Seeing Ella’s face during the ceremony.  Having my siblings beside me, the four of us are incredibly close.  Reading our cards together the next day in the beautiful suite over breakfast and champagne was one of our favorites as well.  We cried reading the thoughtful and unique messages from our loved ones and were very grateful to be in this family.
