A farm wedding in Stockton, NJ was the yummy setting for Kim and Wade’s wedding. They married last fall at Stone Rows Farm, a gorgeous farm with multiple barns that is everything from magical, rustic, gorgeous, classy… you name it. This venue is amazing, and so was Kim and Wade’s wedding. Yeah, it was misty all day even it wasn’t supposed to be, but the weather became a character and a part of their wedding and we all just rolled with it. The ceremony was intimate and no doubt a highlight, and Kim’s dancing at the reception has been memorable indeed! I love a bride who has as much fun as Kim did. This was a perfect wedding from start to finish, and it was yet again another honor to document the day for this lovely couple.
Here are some thoughts from Kim and Wade:
When planning your wedding, what were you most looking forward to? The ceremony!!! But also, we really wanted a comfortable, fun-filled day where everyone could see and feel how much love and hard work we put into creating it all and sharing it with our family and friends! We wanted everyone to walk onto that farm and feel the same love for it that we did.
What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? The ceremony, the ceremony, and the ceremony. We both agreed that it was the one moment during the entire day that we both felt completely at peace and like it was just us. Kim getting into her wedding gown and Wade putting on the personalized suit that he designed himself felt amazing for both of us. It was like, we’re here, we did all of this and we look and feel awesome!
Any advice for future couples planning their weddings? Remember that it’s just about you and your soon to be partner for life. Allow yourself to be vulnerable and feel everything that day. Take a few quiet moments during the day when you feel stressed to just be alone. Quiet time is priceless on that day!
Is there anything else you would like to add? We loved how so many people contributed to making our day more special. From our best family friends playing such a huge role in the planning and decorating things like the most magnificent and giant floral chandelier anyone has ever seen, all our bouquets and boutonnieres, to all beautiful things around the property, writing our ceremony and of course officiating! To Kim’s Mom planning the rehearsal dinner and helping with the set up of the reception barn and Kim’s Dad allowing us to buy the most random things you never thought you would need for a wedding, to Wade’s Mom doing all of our placement cards and helping set up, and we can’t forget Wade’s father sitting in the barn stringing our curtain sheers on string days before. We had friends who brought their Rita’s Italian Ice truck and popcorn for everyone to enjoy and lastly, the farm. The Stone Rows Farm giving Wade and Kim the opportunity to have a day/weekend that they never thought possible. That farm will remain one of our favorite places forever.
