An intimate Boston wedding: Brenda & Phil

I first met Phil almost 20 years ago! (we were both not 8 though, ha), so this wedding is even more special to me. I photographed my old friend and his love, Brenda, making it official while sharing an intimate day together.  They live in Boston and the only guest invited to this day was Boston.

Brenda and Phil started at Mop, where their friend Nicole gussied them up while we they all sipped champagne. Note: champagne at 9am tastes just as good as 9pm! They quickly got dressed and then we walked across the street from their home for the day’s highlight: their ceremony. This is good stuff. Their friend was the officiant and Brenda and Phil exchanged vows they wrote to each other. Reading love letters and promises out loud will always be my favorite part of the wedding day.  It’s why we are all here.

Next stop was lunch at Toro with good eats and some cava drinking and mouth missing. You’ll see. We eventually got back to their home and roof deck to hang out with their two fur babies, Finn and Poe. Dogs + weddings =  yes please.

This was a rare gift… just me and a bride and a groom.  Their ultimate date night told in photographs. And here’s how it looked…
