One thing that I like about my flexible schedule is that I get to do stuff like this. These photos are from a random Tuesday afternoon that I got to spend with my sister-in-law Janet, and her three amazing little ones Elise, Emmett, and Evan. I photographed Lizzy and Jess’s wedding in November, and it’s one I’ve thought about often since then. In the weeks leading up to the day, there was some uncertainty about whether Lizzy’s dad, Bruce, would be able to attend.
As we move into Thanksgiving week, I’ve found myself reflecting on the past year—on the studio, the sessions, the people and pets I’ve had the honor to photograph, and the moments that have filled my calendar and my heart. And
