Stroudsmoor Country Inn Wedding: Liza & Shamus

Meet Liza and Shamus! (Well, a lot of Shamus!). They married just a few weeks ago and held their epic dance party wedding at the lovely Stroudsmoor Country Inn. This venue is pretty sweet as there are several private locations to hold your wedding, and they chose Lawnhaven for their wedding.  Everything is all nice and cozy and was perfect on this early fall day in the Poconos.

I really had a lot of fun with them!! You’ll see why. These are my people! I hope you enjoy my favorites from the day, it’s quite a story!

Now let’s hear from our lovely bride Liza…

When planning your wedding, what were you most looking forward to?: I was  looking forward to being with, and sharing the day with all of our family, fr-amily, and best of friends.  It is rare that all of those that mean to you are under one roof…and knowing that they will be there to celebrate your love – was something I know that we were both really looking forward to.

What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? The ceremony was a favorite moment.  Shamus’ best friend was our officiant, so our ceremony felt organic and personal – which I loved.  My niece also did a reading that touched us, and will be in our hearts forever.  There was a mix of emotions, and I will cherish it forever.

Another memorable moment was our reception…Dancing!  Dancing!  Dancing!  We literally danced the ENTIRE night.  Best of all – Shamus gave an impromptu “dance”.  The pictures can tell the story!

If you could do it all again, would you change anything? NONE of it. I loved every bit of the entire weekend! From the grounds of Stroudsmoor Country Inn, to the rehearsal, and to the night of the wedding – all were amazing!

Any advice for future couples planning their weddings? This was both of our 2nd (and last) wedding, and my biggest advice is, is to have fun with it.  Do what you and your groom feel is right; at the end of the day – this is YOUR day, and it is to celebrate YOUR LOVE for one another.   I loved every bit of our wedding, because it is what we both chose to do…and our main goal was to really show off our love, and for everyone to have a good time.  Period.
